Learning to use watercolour paints can be a journey, and takes some time to get the basics right. There are always pitfalls along the way, but it will be so satisfying when you create the first thing that you are proud of.
There are a number of watercolour techniques to start learning, and we will explore those together over the next few weeks! Some tips and tricks i have are:
Get good paper, but also a bit of less expensive paper so you feel ok just practicing!
Start small! You might not be painting amazing botanicals and in-depth landscapes in one day, but aim for some decent shapes
Don't paint on the couch while you're hunched over a ottoman. Learn from my sore back mistakes! Try to have a space to paint on a table
Be proud of everything you do; everything is an improvement!
This first video will give you the quick basic supplies and getting started
Let me know if you have any questions or beginner watercolour tips for others below!

That is a fantastic intro! As a new-bee I started without instructions, watching what the paint did (and didn't do) and scratched my head. Totally recommend watching these awesome tutorials first as the world of water color makes so much more sense to me now!
Thank you so much for explaining this so nicely!
